Director General of the Jordan Hejaz Railway Corporation Salah Mefleh Al Lawzi received President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Dr. Serdar ÇAM and HE Turkish Ambassador to Amman Mr. Sedat Önal and the accompanying delegation.

 

The two parties discussed joint cooperation and the extent of benefiting from the Turkish expertise in the field of railways crytstalizing the good relations ininitated by HE Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein and HE President of the Turkish Republic Abdullah Gul.

 

The delegation was briefed on the accomplishments achieved by the Corporation in preserving the sustainability of the Hejaz railway as an Islamic legacy, and on the accomplished projects in reconstruction steam locomotives and passengers’ locomotives.

 

The delegation expressed their admiration of what has been achieved that guaranteed the sustainability of the Hejaz railway which has been established since more than (110) years in the Ottoman era.

 

For his part, Al Lawzi extended his gratitude to the Turkish government and to the support in implementing the renovation projects of the historic stations, the expansion of the Museum and supplying the Corporation with the required devices and technical expertise that guarantee the development and sustainability of work.

Director General of the Jordan Hejaz Railway Salah Al Lawzi and all staff of the Corporation extends to HM King Abdullah II, may God preserve him, the leader of our nation and the symbol of our pride and dignity, for his 52 birthday, asking Allah the Almighty to protect him and keep him as a support to the Arab and Islamic nation and to the coming generations and to our blessed Jordan for more progress and prosperity under the reign of His Majesty the King.
